The semester is coming to an end, and I am glad for it.
One class is just annoying, yet is a requirement. I am just done with typing classes, and learning document formatting. Is there a real need to teach people how to send an e-mail? In this day and age? Seriously?
Forgive me. I have taken numerous admin style classes in the past. This is all just repeat for me. College credits are only good for 5 years. This is the reason why I am trapped into this cycle of repeating classes I have already completed years ago. I am so glad it will be over in less than 2 weeks.
Currently, I have top grades in both classes. Government, Courts and Criminal Law is a wonderful class. Everyone should have to take this class. It should be required in high school. It is a great explanation of our judicial structure in our country and a general overview of the court structure. Imagine how many youths could benefit from this! Educate them while they are young and avoid them becoming part of the system.
Another two classes are set for next semester. Tuition payment plan is set up and in place. Now to start budgeting for my textbooks. I need to purchase them the first week of January. Problem is: the prices are not listed until next week:(
Legal Transcription class should be interesting. It is entirely new to me. I strongly believe it will be a huge benefit to learn this for a future in the legal field. I do not want to be sloppy once I begin my career. Details are critical.
The girls think it is weird when I tell them to go play while mom works on homework. They are not used to mom having homework. The youngest two are the most confused because I do not go to school like they do. There is not a backpack, class times, or class rooms.
D- is paying attention. She is not thinking about the PSEO program for next year. I am so proud of her for this. Post Secondary Education Option-going to college and high school at the same time and graduating with a diploma, as well as her A.A. degree. We will have meetings with her teachers after the Christmas break and explore all of her options for next school year. I cannot believe my baby is half way through her sophomore year!!! And her GPA is higher than mine.
